  • Optional short walks: Loerie Trail (birdwatching) or 6km Waterfall Trail (part of the

Otter Trail).

  • Dinner at The Cattle Baron restaurant & meet your Dolphin Trail host at 18:00.

  • Overnight in rustic chalets

DAY 2

Hike to Misty Mountain Reserve

Distance - 7.5km

easy to moderate hiking difficulty

Difficulty - Moderate

  • Breakfast at 08:00, meet your FGASA-certified guides.

  • Hike begins along the boardwalk and suspension bridge to Storms River Mouth.

  • Climb to Lookout Point, with panoramic Indian ocean views and snack stop.

  • Picnic lunch in the forest by the stream.

  • Steep climb up Steilkop, followed by a scenic walk through the forest to Misty Mountain Reserve.

  • Arrival drinks & optional extra activities: quad bikes tours, cycling, Mist Spa,Crocodile walk, padel - (pre booking essential)

  • 18:30: Sundowners & a’ la carte dinner or traditional braai at The Tshisa restaurant.

  • Overnight in luxury lodges with 180 degree ocean views or lake side tents with beautiful Tsitsikamma Mountain and dam view

Day 3

Hike to Fernery Lodge & Spa

Distance - 9.5km

easy to moderate hiking difficulty

Difficulty - Moderate

  • Breakfast at 08:30, then descend to coastal rock pools.

  • Explore “Otter’s Alley,” with opportunities to swim or snorkel.

  • Stunning coastal and forest hike ends with lunch in the forest.

  • Final 3km hike through fynbos to The Fernery Lodge & Spa.

  • Arrival drinks, optional spa, jacuzzi, or explore nursery trails.

  • 18:30: Pre-dinner drinks & à la carte dinner at The Fernery.

  • Overnight in luxury chalets with fynbos and river views.
